Finally, the company has agreed to replace both the MacBook and the charger but there is still no follow-up from Apple about the situation. Later, he got a follow-up call from Apple and was asked to run a special diagnostics program, yet the issue persisted. Then, they said they would replace his charger with a new 140 watt charger to fix the issue as they undermined it as a firmware issue. This particular user went to the Apple service centre and they tested his Mac with a cable and charger that they had and still encountered the problem. The report adds that one particular customer has got an assurance from the Cupertino-based giant about getting a replacement laptop after concluding a lengthy back and forth with Apple Support. Macrumors report that some 16-inch MacBook Pro models and their respective 140W MagSafe 3 charger are experiencing a glitch where the MagSafe light is on and yet it isn’t charging the Mac when the MacBook Pro is turned off. A few MacBook Pro owners who have the 16-inch version of the device seem to have noticed a common issue where the MagSafe 3 connector is unable to deliver the expected charge when the Mac is turned off and the lid is closed.
